On 24th October Ariella String Trio were booked to play for the wedding of Jon and Victoria. The venue was Sopwell House in St Albans. We have played at Sopwell House quite a few times, it’s not too far from where we live. It was lovely to be back. Thanks to all the staff at Sopwell for looking after us so well!
I just had to share this wedding with you as the theme was Great Gatsby and the venue was dressed brilliantly!!
The wedding ceremony began at 4.30pm with us playing for the guests who were assembling from 4pm. The music for the ceremony was all classical and Victoria walked in to the traditional Wagner Bridal Chorus.
After we were all set up I nipped to have a look at the room where the wedding breakfast was going to take place and it was simply amazing! LOOK!!
Hard at work were our colleagues, Liz and Claire, from Wedding Venue Decorators creating the most amazing Great Gatsby theme! We work with Liz and Claire often, as they, like us, are recommended suppliers for Luton Hoo Hotel. We can’t recommend them highly enough – their work is exceptional.
We also had the pleasure of working with Smile Events, owned and run by David Rees. Just look at this Great Gatsby dance floor set up – stunning!
The cake was provided by Cakes by Jackie, based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. This cake is amazing – attention to detail is excellent and I love the design.
After the ceremony we continued to play for the drinks reception while the photos were being taken – lots of great pop, rock and jazz music. The photographer was John Mason Photography – a great photographer to work with – flexible, friendly and professional. Hopefully work with him again in the future!
Hope you enjoyed the photos!
‘Til next time………………..!
